Writing Without Hiding:

How to Write What You Mean and Be Heard in the New Economy

Project Year: 2014

Client: Test Client

I wrote the manuscript for this short (55-page) book while teaching writing and urban studies classes at a state university. What I found was that many students seemed to be hiding in their writing -- mostly due to a lack of understanding of process and technique.

This book shows a way out of the trap, providing what I hope are useful tips for developing healthy writing habits and concise prose.

It doubles as a kind of personal manifesto, a series of reminders to myself to keep my process and language uncluttered.

This is the second product of Beagle, my collaboration with illustrator Julia Kuo and designer Lee Zelenak.
